sun kiss
AP studio art portfolios are due really soon and I have wanted to go back and redo some of my earlier pieces because to be honest they really suck. I’ll probably only do 2 or 3 but the first one I’m redoing is the sun girl I drew that can be seen here: http://nouns.deviantart.com/art/sun-150130385
I personally don’t think it’s so that bad but I have gotten the worst feedback of any of my pieces I’ve ever done on this one so I am redoing it mainly for that.
I always notice flaws in my work after I’ve scanned them; the girl’s right eye is angled really wrong so I’ll change that….. or maybe it is the nose. AGH. The dragon post looks so bad too! I liked it so much initially but I am looking at it today and it is a piece of shit! I finished the sketch so it doesn’t look that bad anymore, but I am doing a pretty big piece inspired by that sketch so I’ll take a picture of that later instead and I must say it looks preeetty sick.

I think that there are like two anatomy flaws that are holding back the potential of this sketch, otherwise I think it’s very nice.
I did a really minor redraw if you’re interested in looking.
Basically I brought her nose and mouth up together to define the chin more, and then made the neck a little thicker.

no, no, it’s not annoying at all! I drew the mouth kind of dark and it’s on water color paper so idk how much will erase but i will definitely try moving the nose/mouth up and thicken the neck. thanks for the suggestions :>
