Bird of Prey
I never know when I should upload things here vs. deviant art but I guess this is more casual…. and because all I can manage for now is a cell phone picture I guess “here” is more befitting.
Anyways, I watered down acrylics to a point that it was like water colors and I started roughly painting the eagle/falcon/whatever BoP you want to think it is. Then I realized the brush I was using made cute petal like brush strokes so I painted the flowers then the headdress thing and the arms/blob that are behind the harpie girl. Fast forward a few months to today and I am desperately scrounging for pieces to put in my AP portfolio so I nabbed this and started drawing line art on it. I painted the harpie girl with white that I unintentionally put a note of teal in because the palette wasn’t so clean, but I think it looks good so I don’t mind.
A lot of detail was lost but it isn’t too bad. I am not liking the girl so much but I am not at a point with the human body that I’d like to be so oh well, until then…..
