Anyways, I watered down acrylics to a point that it was like water colors and I started roughly painting the eagle/falcon/whatever BoP you want to think it is. Then I realized the brush I was using made cute petal like brush strokes so I painted the flowers then the headdress thing and the arms/blob that are behind the harpie girl. Fast forward a few months to today and I am desperately scrounging for pieces to put in my AP portfolio so I nabbed this and started drawing line art on it. I painted the harpie girl with white that I unintentionally put a note of teal in because the palette wasn’t so clean, but I think it looks good so I don’t mind.

A lot of detail was lost but it isn’t too bad. I am not liking the girl so much but I am not at a point with the human body that I’d like to be so oh well, until then…..

AP studio art portfolios are due really soon and I have wanted to go back and redo some of my earlier pieces because to be honest they really suck. I’ll probably only do 2 or 3 but the first one I’m redoing is the sun girl I drew that can be seen here: http://nouns.deviantart.com/art/sun-150130385

I personally don’t think it’s so that bad but I have gotten the worst feedback of any of my pieces I’ve ever done on this one so I am redoing it mainly for that.

I always notice flaws in my work after I’ve scanned them; the girl’s right eye is angled really wrong so I’ll change that….. or maybe it is the nose. AGH. The dragon post looks so bad too! I liked it so much initially but I am looking at it today and it is a piece of shit! I finished the sketch so it doesn’t look that bad anymore, but I am doing a pretty big piece inspired by that sketch so I’ll take a picture of that later instead and I must say it looks preeetty sick.

I watched “How to Train Your Dragon” today with Hannah and we loved it sooo much. So we made our own dragons up and this is mine. There is a lot to do still but i like where it is going

I started with their hat things and went from there. It’s due friday and I have a lot of work to do! -__-

IDK what I am going to do for the backgrounds, I am thinking of just doing some dumb trees or greek columns or something IDK

Anyways, I drew this originally aiming to be an animal I had made in my head. However, I have an affinity for four legged hoofed animals (cows, tapirs, horses) so thats why this ended up being a space cow. I was originally gonna have this weird cow on a farm but my friend Emma said put it on the moon and I really like that idea. I am gonna ink and water color this at some other point. Oh, and my scanner cut off a lot of it because the drawing is kinda big/my scanner is retarded but it is just more moon/craters so you aren’t missing out! Last thing, I didn’t use any references which is exciting to me because it (hopefully) means I am gettin to the point that I don’t 99% of the time need a reference.

This was supposed to be a wolf face but everyone says it looks like a dog and I don’t know what to change to make it more wolf like without making the face snarl (I want a neutral expression!)
